Backyard Landscape Design

Ginger Dereus pictured an elegant backyard entertainment area complete with a large patio, fire pit area with boulder seats and a water feature. The relatively small and sloped backyard presented many opportunities and challenges before the installation was complete. The small size required careful use of space and the slope allowed for interesting elevation changes to define the various landscape areas. The existing concrete patio and landing were edged with brick and inlayed with flagstone to match the proposed round main patio. A circular design motive was repeated throughout the hardscape elements to tie them together visually. Cherokee boulders from The Rock Garden were installed as seats in the fire pit area.
